Luria faces new ethics complaint

Elaine Luria is facing new ethics scrutiny after she broke House Ethics rules by sending multiple fundraising emails directly tied to her official work in Congress.

The Washington Times reports, “House ethics rules directly prohibit members of Congress from fundraising off their official duties” and Luria “has sent numerous fundraising emails in recent weeks asking donors to reward her “principled leadership” on the Jan. 6. committee.”

Sadly, this wouldn’t be the first time Luria blatantly flouted House ethics rules…

“From protecting Congressional insider trading to continually flouting House ethics rules, Elaine Luria clearly believes the rules shouldn’t apply to her,” said CLF Press Secretary Cally Perkins. “While Virginians face record prices for gas and groceries, Luria is focused only on her own bottom line.”
