Why can’t Democrats find good recruits in the House?
This morning, Des Moines Register reports Democrats still have a major recruitment hole in Iowa’s 3rd District.
They write: “In a state where Democrats are grasping for opportunities to claw back power, the party has yet to field a single contender in its most competitive congressional district… What’s more concerning, some say privately, is that relatively few names are being circulated as possible contenders.”
This isn’t the only race where Democrats haven’t found a candidate…
- Remember in open MI-07, two top Democrats passed before they were forced to settle on a lifelong state government cog with ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
- And Democrats have bottom-of-the-barrel candidates against Reps. Michelle Steel, Young Kim, and Nick LaLota.
- On top of that, Democrats are dealing with an abundance of retreads, some of their worst in Sleazy Career Politician Adam Gray, Lying Rudy Salas, Radical Michelle Vallejo, and Bay Area Liberal Extremist Jamie McLeod-Skinner.
- Not to mention, Olympic gold medalist Sarah Hughes dropped out of the NY-04 race against Rep. Anthony D’Esposito.
Why can’t Democrats land good recruits?
“Between reruns and rejects, Democrats are struggling to find good candidates to run in the House,” said CLF Communications Director Courtney Parella. “With a historically unpopular President and a toxic liberal agenda that’s saddling American families with higher crime and costs, it’s no wonder why.”
