During a radio interview on Friday, Zephyr Teachout was asked about Bill Clinton’s private meeting with Department of Justice Chief Loretta Lynch and the possible conflict of interest given that his wife is under federal investigation. Teachout – an attorney and outspoken anti-corruption activist – dodged the question:

We had our primary less than 48 hours ago we’ve been wrapping up and had an end of quarter and I have been so focused on the end of the last campaign and starting the new one that I have not looked into really what happened at all. Well, since she promised to “look into it and answer,” Teachout should also be prepared to talk about the latest in the scandal:
- Today FBI Director James Comey called Hillary Clinton’s conduct “extremely careless.” Additionally, Comey criticized Clinton for putting “very sensitive” information at risk and left the door open to “administrative sanctions” for Clinton.
This issue isn’t going away. Teachout will share a ballot with a nominee connected to a federal investigation; it’s time we learn how she feels about it.
