New Ad In ME-02: Liberal Jared Golden Does Not Look Out For Hardworking Mainers

Jared Golden supports higher taxes and wasteful liberal handouts

WASHINGTON – Congressional Leadership Fund (@CLFSuperPAC), the super PAC endorsed by House Republican leadership, today released a new ad, “Work Hard,” in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District. The ad highlights Jared Golden’s support for higher taxes and wasteful liberal handouts instead of looking out for hardworking Maine taxpayers. The ad will run on television in the Bangor and Presque Isle media markets and on digital platforms throughout the district.

“Liberal Jared Golden is not looking out for hardworking Maine taxpayers,” said Michael Byerly, CLF spokesman. “Golden supports higher taxes and wasteful liberal handouts, like allowing welfare recipients to use taxpayers’ hard-earned dollars to buy alcohol and tobacco. Mainers deserve a leader like Bruce Poliquin who always puts them first.”

In addition to the ad campaign, CLF has opened a field office in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District. Each CLF field office is supported by a full-time staffer and hundreds of interns and volunteers who engage with voters on a daily basis through hyper-targeted phone banking and door-to-door canvassing.

VO: Mainers work hard. Pay their taxes.

So why isn’t Jared Golden looking out for us?

In Augusta, Golden voted to let welfare recipients use your tax dollars to buy tattoos, tobacco, alcohol – even lottery tickets.

Golden even opposed middle-class tax cuts that are saving Maine families over $2,000 a year.

Liberal Jared Golden: wasteful handouts for them. Higher taxes for us.
