First Ad In OH-01: Aftab Pureval Is Another Dishonest Politician

Spot highlights Pureval’s record of saying anything to get elected to Congress

WASHINGTON – Congressional Leadership Fund (@CLFSuperPAC), the super PAC endorsed by House Republican leadership, today released a new ad, “He Should Know,” in Ohio’s 1st  Congressional District. The ad highlights dishonest politician Aftab Pureval’s record of saying anything to get elected to Congress, and details the millions of dollars Pureval’s D.C. lobbying firm made helping Libya reduce payments owed to families of Americans killed by Libyan terrorism. The ad will run on television in the Cincinnati media market and on digital platforms throughout the district.

“Aftab Pureval is a dishonest and hypocritical politician who will say anything to get elected to Congress,” said Michael Byerly, CLF spokesman. “While slamming lobbyists for rigging ‘the game to benefit themselves’ on the campaign trail, Aftab Pureval fails to mention that he worked for a D.C. lobbying firm that made millions of dollars by selling out Americans. Aftab Pureval’s lies and actions prove that he cannot be trusted in Congress.”

This is CLF’s first television ad in Ohio’s 1st Congressional District. In addition to the ad campaign, CLF has opened a field office in Ohio’s 1st Congressional District. Each CLF field office is supported by a full-time staffer and hundreds of interns and volunteers who engage with voters on a daily basis through hyper-targeted phone banking and door-to-door canvassing.
