Brad Schneider Takes the Cake

It’s time for Congressman Brad Schneider to bring out the birthday cake, light the candles and make a wish.  The unworkable Obamacare law he’s championing turns 4 years old on Sunday.

Congressman Schneider may still be celebrating this law, but Chicagoland families are already feeling the pain of Obamacare’s false promises:

President Obama promised, “If you like your health care plan, you can keep it.” Yet over 4.7 million Americans have faced health policy cancellations. He guaranteed “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.” But thousands of doctors can no longer see Medicare Advantage patients while many more Americans are losing the doctor of their choice.

President Obama claimed he’d “lower premiums by up to $2,500 for a typical family per year,” yet premiums are skyrocketing in all 50 states. “Nobody is talking about reducing Medicare benefits,” President Obama said. But for the second consecutive year, his Administration has proposed deep cuts to Medicare Advantage, affecting millions of seniors.

The Bottom Line:

Brad Schneider’s Obamacare law is no cause for celebration for Chicagoland residents who know firsthand Obamacare’s promises aren’t true and the law simply doesn’t work. Brad Schneider can only wish that voters will forget Obamacare’s false promises that have left them with cancelled health care plans, higher costs and fewer choices for care.
