Sykes Votes to Allow Noncitizens the Right to Vote

An overwhelming bipartisan majority in the House just passed legislation overturning a progressive immigration policy that grants noncitizens the right to vote in local elections in the nation’s capital.

Over FIFTY Democrats joined Republicans to back this commonsense legislation, but vulnerable Democrat Emilia Sykes voted AGAINST it.

And remember, Sykes has a history of fighting for extreme, far-left immigration policies:

“Preventing noncitizens from voting in American elections is as basic and commonsense as it gets, which is why it passed with a clear bipartisan majority in the House, yet Emilia Sykes was too extreme to support it,” said CLF Regional Press Secretary Maureen O’Toole. “Today’s vote makes it clear: Emilia Sykes’ top priority is pushing radical illegal immigration policy, not fighting for Ohio citizens or protecting the security of our elections.”
