New Poll: Gluesenkamp Perez’s Immigration Comments Aren’t Aging Well

A new Harvard CAPS-Harris poll reveals that immigration is voters’ top concern nationwide, with 36% of voters calling it “the most important issue facing the country.”

But not according to Marie Gluesenkamp Perez who insisted that, “no one stays awake at night worrying about the southern border… that’s not what matters to people.”

Can Gluesenkamp Perez still credibly claim that the border crisis is “not what matters to people?” And does she stand by her multiple votes against tougher border security measures?

“Liberal activists like Marie Gluesenkamp Perez thought by saying the border crisis wasn’t real, it would just go away. But it’s only getting worse, and voters are fully aware of it,” said CLF Regional Press Secretary Maureen O’Toole. “Gluesenkamp Perez is going to have to do some serious backtracking to try and convince Washington voters she cares about their concerns now.”
