How’s This For Rhetoric?

Remember when Elissa Slotkin said that the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act would “leave the middle class no better off” and that it “simply does not live up to the rhetoric?”

I wonder if she has any regrets, because today DTE Energy announced that “rates in Michigan will go down” as a result of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act:

“The reduction in the corporate tax rate will result in lower bills for DTE’s 2.2 million electric and 1.3 million gas customers,” the company said in a statement.

Good thing hardworking Michigan families and workers have Rep. Mike Bishop in office; Elissa Slotkin would have voted against these great benefits…

“One month since enactment, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which Rep. Mike Bishop helped draft and supported, is already delivering for Michigan middle-class families. Elissa Slotkin should think twice next time before rushing to support Nancy Pelosi and her liberal agenda.” – Michael Byerly, spokesperson for the Congressional Leadership Fund.
