Harris Campaign Confirms She’s Anti-Fracking, But Cartwright Backs Her Anyway

Today, Kamala Harris’ campaign confirmed she has not “changed her mind” on banning fracking – a move that would devastate Pennsylvania.

Harris’ fracking ban would cost over half a million Pennsylvanians to lose their jobs, drive up household energy costs by over $600 a year, and cause prices on farmers to rise by as much as 64%.

Yet knowing Harris’ position to ban fracking, Democrat Matt Cartwright said he’s “proud” to support Harris’ campaign.

“The fact that Matt Cartwright is still willing to stand by Kamala Harris despite her radical, anti-energy agenda is a slap in the face to hardworking Pennsylvanians,” said CLF Regional Press Secretary Maureen O’Toole.
