Axne Claims ARP Put Money in Pockets
Cindy Axne told NBC-Des Moines that she and Democrats have “kept money in people’s pockets…through the American Rescue Plan,” while claiming that she’s running her campaign on “truth and facts.”
Here’s a quick reminder of the actual “truth and facts.”
- The American Rescue Plan made inflation worse, contributing about 3% of the 7% inflation that we had in 2021 and continues to fuel inflation as it soars to the highest level since 1981.
- Yet, Axne said inflation was “false advertisements” and “no economist worth their salt” said we’re looking at inflation.
- And Axne denied that Democrats’ spending caused inflation – despite every economist saying it did.
“Cindy Axne needs to stop making excuses and own up to the fact that her extreme agenda has led to record gas prices, soaring inflation, and an economy on the brink,” said CLF Cally Perkins. “Cindy Axne may be running a campaign, but she surely isn’t running on ‘truth and facts.’”
