NY-24 First Wave of Spending 2016

Initial Round of TV Advertising and Door-to-Door GOTV Activities Announced

WASHINGTON – The Congressional Leadership Fund (@CLFSuperPAC), the super PAC endorsed by House Republican leadership, today announced its first wave of general election spending. CLF will begin by allocating $800,000 in New York’s 24th congressional district race between tax-and-spend Democrat Colleen Deacon and center-right Republican leader John Katko. The independent expenditure will include TV ads in the Syracuse media market starting October 11 and door-to-door GOTV activities.

“We’re proud to support Republicans like John Katko, who is running on providing solutions-based leadership in the House. From the airwaves to the ground game, Democrats will have no place to hide from their support of the failed Obama-Clinton agenda,” said Ruth Guerra, spokeswoman for Congressional Leadership Fund. “Voters need to look no further than the Iran deal ransom and Hillary’s email scandal to know they don’t want more dishonest Democrats in Congress.”

This is part of a first round of announced spending totaling $10 million in 12 of the top competitive House races across the country. CLF and its sister organization American Action Network remain the single largest outside conservative spenders on the U.S. House.

Founded in 2011, Congressional Leadership Fund is the super PAC endorsed by House Republican Leadership and dedicated exclusively to preserving and expanding the Republican Majority in the U.S. House of Representatives. CLF, along with its sister organization, 501(c)(4) American Action Network, spent $20 million in independent expenditures on U.S. House races in 2014. CLF is an independent-expenditure super PAC that operates independently of any federal candidate or officeholder.
