Omaha World Herald: Don Bacon fields questions from constituents at first public town halls Rep. Don Bacon waded into his first public town hall meetings Saturday, a step that opponents as well as supporters said they were glad he took. Jeers at the start of the Millard West meeting were countered by supportive chants of “Bacon, Bacon, Bacon.” While Bacon faced heckling and hollering, he also drew applause and whoops of support at both town halls, including after a woman thanked the retired Air Force brigadier general for his military service and after he said he co-sponsored a bill on term limits. Bacon then drew loud applause when he said the United States is strong because of people who are involved in their communities.

Omaha World Herald’s Mike O’Connor took note:

KETV: Rep. Don Bacon hosts two town halls Saturday For months, constituents urged U.S. Rep. Don Bacon to host town hall meetings. He held two Saturday morning, with some applauding his transparency…”He’s doing one (meeting), not just one, but two (town hall meetings Saturday),” Bacon supporter Stephen Bader said. “I greatly admire him for that, even in the face of knowing that organized agitators will protest him.”

CLF live tweeted support for Rep. Don Bacon, and launched a Snapchat filter targeting Rep. Bacon’s two town halls:
