When asked to condemn murder, Vasquez votes “present”
The U.S. House just passed a resolution to honor the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk.
Gabe Vasquez refused to vote ‘yes’ and instead cast a cowardly ‘present’ vote.
Vasquez’s vote is on brand when you take a look at his past radical rhetoric describing Republicans:
- “Remove the national threat from office.”
- “Trump isn’t undermining democracy, he’s trying to destroy it.”
- “This administration has committed so many crimes against humanity I can’t even count them on my hands and feet. White supremacy on full display.”
- “The president’s ego, ignorance and racism is the biggest threat to our national security!”
What is so hard about voting for a resolution that “calls upon all Americans — regardless of race, party affiliation, or creed — to reject political violence, recommit to respectful debate, uphold American values, and respect one another as fellow Americans?”
No one should be murdered for voicing their opinion.
Apparently, Vasquez doesn’t agree.
