TX-23 Polling Update

Will Hurd leads Gina Ortiz-Jones 55% to 30%

WASHINGTON – Congressional Leadership Fund (@CLFSuperPAC), the super PAC endorsed by House Republican leadership, today released new polling from a survey conducted this week showing Rep. Will Hurd leading Democrat Gina Ortiz-Jones 55% to 30%.

“This week, we’ve seen undeniable improvement in surveys across the country and received new numbers today that show a growing double-digit lead for Will Hurd in Texas,” said Courtney Alexander, CLF Communications Director. “CLF is proud to be engaged in TX-23 and help define Gina Ortiz-Jones as an out-of-touch Nancy Pelosi liberal.”

The following notes the key findings from a survey of voters in Texas’ 23rd Congressional District. Interviews were conducted October 2-4, 2018. N=400LV interviews were conducted, and the margin of error is +/- 4.9%.

The survey found Will Hurd’s favorable to unfavorable rating is 59% to 29%, while Gina Ortiz-Jones’ favorable to unfavorable is 27% to 45%. Additionally, the survey showed President Donald Trump’s favorable to unfavorable rating in TX-23 is 53% to 44%.

Hurd: 55%
Ortiz-Jones: 30%
Corvalan: 5%
Undecided: 10%

CLF’s efforts to define Ortiz-Jones have clearly made an impact, as Texas voters learn more about her extreme, liberal agenda and ties to Nancy Pelosi her image continues to decline.
