New Ads In NY-22: Anthony Brindisi Was A Sheldon Silver Enabler

WASHINGTON – Congressional Leadership Fund (@CLFSuperPAC), the super PAC endorsed by House Republican leadership, today released two new ads in New York’s 22^nd Congressional District.

One ad, “Silver Enabler,” highlights Anthony Brindisi backing Sheldon Silver for speaker even after Silver was caught using tax dollars to cover up a sexual harassment scandal. Another ad, “Veterans,” details Brindisi rubber-stamping Silver’s agenda over 90 percent of the time.

“Disgraced Sheldon Silver is one of the most liberal and corrupt politicians in New York history, and Anthony Brindisi was his go-to guy in Albany – even backing Silver for speaker after he was caught using tax dollars to cover up a sexual harassment scandal,” said Michael Byerly, CLF spokesman. “Brindisi rubber-stamped Silver’s agenda over 90 percent of the time, voting to kill bills that honored the sacrifice of veterans and supported a government-run health care plan that gave taxpayer-funded benefits to illegals. Anthony Brindisi was part of Sheldon Silver’s liberal racket and he would make Washington worse.”

In addition to the ad campaign, CLF opened a field office in New York’s 22^nd Congressional District. Each CLF field office is supported by a full-time staffer and hundreds of interns and volunteers who engage with voters on a daily basis through hyper-targeted phone banking and door-to-door canvassing.
