New Ads In ME-02 Highlight Jared Golden’s Extreme, Liberal Agenda

-One ad features a local business owner discussing how Jared Golden’s liberal voting record that earned him a zero percent small business rating
-Another ad details Golden’s support for a $32 trillion government takeover of health care that would end Medicare as we know it

WASHINGTON – Congressional Leadership Fund (@CLFSuperPAC), the super PAC endorsed by House Republican leadership, today released two new ads in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District. The ads will run on television in the Bangor and Presque Isle media markets and on digital platforms throughout the district.

One ad, “Irv,” features a local business owner discussing how Jared Golden’s liberal voting record that earned him a zero percent small business rating. Another ad, “At Risk,” details Golden’s support for a $32 trillion government takeover of health care that would end Medicare as we know it.

“Jared Golden talks like a moderate, but he votes like Nancy Pelosi – earning a zero percent small business rating for supporting higher sales and income taxes and opposing tax cuts for Maine’s small businesses,” said Michael Byerly, CLF spokesman. “Golden even stands with Nancy Pelosi in support of a $32 trillion government takeover of health care that would raise taxes, almost double the national debt, and end Medicare as we know it. Jared Golden’s extreme, liberal agenda would put Mainers at risk.”

In addition to the ad campaign, CLF previously opened a field office in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District. Each CLF field office is supported by a full-time staffer and hundreds of interns and volunteers who engage with voters on a daily basis through hyper-targeted phone banking and door-to-door canvassing.

IRV: Maine small businesses need representatives who will keep this economy growing.

But Jared Golden is ranked one of Maine’s most liberal politicians.

Golden voted to raise sales and income taxes.

He got a zero percent small business rating…

…and he opposes tax cuts that are helping Maine families and small businesses.

Jared Golden talks like a moderate – but he votes just like Nancy Pelosi.

VO: On TV, Jared Golden talks about health care.

What he doesn’t tell you is that he supports a government takeover of health care that would end Medicare as we know it.

Golden’s plan would cost taxpayers $32 trillion and nearly double the national debt.

And he’d pay for it by raising tax rates nearly 20 percent.

Jared Golden: higher taxes for you. Putting Maine seniors at risk.
