Mike Shields Statement on Nancy Pelosi & Democrat Leadership Elections

WASHINGTON – Congressional Leadership Fund (@CLFSuperPAC) President Mike Shields today released the following statement in response to House Democrats’ leadership elections:

“Republicans everywhere are celebrating the re-election of Nancy Pelosi as Minority Leader, because as long she is in charge of the Democratic caucus that is exactly what she will remain – leader of the Minority.

“House Republicans are the party of newer members and newer ideas. House Democrats led by Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer and the entire Democratic House Leadership continue to stifle any new thought among their young members and destroy any ability for new members to rise up in their party – all so Pelosi can continue to hold on to power. Their leaders – and their ideas – are from a bygone era of big government and top down control, and that has led to election defeat after election defeat.

“So cheers House Democrats – thank you for ignoring Einstein’s maxim and continuing to do the same thing over and over even though it will only yield the same results. We are looking forward to dusting off our Pelosi ad scripts from 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016.”
