ICYMI: Rep. Lee caught taking credit for money she voted against

In case you missed it, Representative Susie Lee was caught taking credit for the wins in the Working Families Tax Cut even though she voted against it.

She previously called the bill the “ Big Bullshit Law”, but in August she loudly celebrated a $150 million dollar funding commitment in the Working Families Tax Cut that was allocated to Nevada.

She failed to mention she voted against the bill that included the funding for Nevada.

In addition, she went on to claim credit for $10 million in the House’s FY26 Defense funding bill for a plant that recycles waste products. She also voted against this (twice!), once in committee and once on the House floor.

Rep. Lee isn’t the first Democrat to take credit for wins in the Working Families Tax Cut.

The Daily Caller wrote in July that “several congressional Democrats are beginning to claim responsibility for provisions they deem beneficial to their constituents despite fiercely opposing the bill during its passage.”
