The House-GOP-affiliated Congressional Leadership Fund has released its first ads attacking Katie Hill and Katie Porter, who are running to unseat Reps. Steve Knight and Mimi Walters, respectively. The spot targeting Hill seeks to drag her down by tying her to a gas tax that Republicans are using to try and harness voter discontent; the ad assailing Porter also invokes the gas tax but casts a wider net, also excoriating her support for Medicare for All and for sanctuary cities.
