CLF Launches First Ads of 2014 Cycle Targeting Freshmen Against Balancing Washington’s Budget

Ads will reach suburban moms with women’s-focused cable and digital buys hitting Sean Patrick Maloney and Joe Garcia for Refusing to Balance Washington’s Budget

WASHINGTON – The Congressional Leadership Fund (CLF) today released their first ads of the 2014 cycle against freshman lawmakers Joe Garcia (FL-26) and Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18) for voting against balancing Washington’s budget yesterday. The House-passed budget would balance Washington’s budget, preventing our coming debt crisis and growing the economy.

The identical ads, aimed at suburban moms, put these two Freshmen Democrats on defense in Republican-leaning districts for opposing sensible budgeting. The ads will run on cable shows targeting women and will be accompanied by a similar paid digital ad campaign.

“House Democrats refused to support balancing Washington’s budget even though families have to every month,” said CLF Communications Director Dan Conston. “American moms deserve to know why Democrats think Washington shouldn’t live by the same rules.”

Why can’t Washington?
Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney just voted against balancing Washington’s budget
Maloney backs policies to put America more in debt. It’s reckless. It’s wrong.
We balance our budget. Why won’t Sean Patrick Maloney balance his?
