Congressional Leadership Fund to Spend $900,000 Against Anna Throne-Holst

TV & Digital Advertising, GOTV Activity in NY-01

The Congressional Leadership Fund (@CLFSuperPAC), the super PAC endorsed by House Republican leadership, today announced a total of $900,000 in New York’s 1st congressional district race against Democrat Anna Throne-Holst. Building on an initial allocation of $300,000 for GOTV activity, CLF is adding $600,000 for cable TV and digital advertising starting October 11.

“We’re proud to support Republicans like Lee Zeldin, who is running on providing conservative, solutions-based leadership in the House,” said Ruth Guerra, spokeswoman for Congressional Leadership Fund. “Voters need to look no further than the Iran deal ransom and Hillary’s email scandal to know they don’t want more dishonest Democrats in Congress.”

This is part of CLF’s announced general election spending to date of $20.7 million across 15 congressional districts. In 2014, CLF’s sister organization, the American Action Network (501c4), spent $1.5 million in the NY-01 congressional race, supporting Lee Zeldin’s victory over Tim Bishop. CLF and AAN remain the single largest outside conservative spenders on the U.S. House.
