Congressional Leadership Fund To Spend $500,000 Against Doug Owens

Independent Expenditure Includes TV and Digital Advertising

WASHINGTON -The Congressional Leadership Fund (@CLFSuperPAC), the super PAC endorsed by House Republican leadership, today announced plans to spend $500,000 in Utah’s 4th Congressional District race against Democrat Doug Owens. The independent expenditure will include TV advertising in the Salt Lake City media market and digital advertising starting October 25.

“We’re proud to support Republican leaders like Mia Love who in just two years has stood out as a strong and independent voice for Utah families,” said Ruth Guerra, spokeswoman for CLF. “Doug Owens will have no place to hide from his support of the failed Obama-Clinton agenda that has left hardworking families behind. The last thing voters in the 4th district need is a rubberstamp for Democrats like Doug Owen.”

CLF’s total announced general election spending to date is over $33 million in 29 districts nationwide. CLF and its sister organization, American Action Network, remain the single largest outside conservative spenders on the U.S. House.
