Congressional Leadership Fund Issues Statement On CA-49 Congressional Primary

WASHINGTON – Following the results of the primary for California’s 49th Congressional District, CLF Executive Director Corry Bliss issued the following statement congratulating Republican Diane Harkey on her victory:

“CLF was proud to partner with American Future Fund to ensure Diane Harkey finished in the top two in California’s jungle primary. CLF’s efforts in the weeks ahead of election day played a major role to make sure Republicans turned out to vote, and we congratulate Diane Harkey on her victory.”

As the largest Republican spender in the race, CLF and AFF’s efforts included door knocking, phone banking, television advertising, digital advertising, mail, and GOTV efforts to support Diane Harkey. In three California congressional primaries, AFF knocked on 400,000 targeted doors to drive Republican turnout and combat the massive Democratic spending advantage in each race.
