CLF Statement on House Leadership Elections

WASHINGTON – Congressional Leadership Fund President Brian O. Walsh issued the following statement on the House GOP leadership elections this afternoon, re-electing Speaker John Boehner, Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, Majority Whip Steve Scalise, NRCC Chair Greg Walden, Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers, and electing GOP Policy Committee Chairman Luke Messer.

“Congratulations to our strong House GOP leadership team led by Speaker Boehner and Leader McCarthy. Last week voters made clear they want leaders in Washington who will put forward solutions to grow the economy, reduce the size and scope of government, and hold this Administration accountable. This leadership team is well-suited to take that mantle and sensibly lead on behalf of the American people.”

Congressional Leadership Fund is the House GOP super PAC exclusively dedicated to preserving and growing the House Republican Majority. CLF, along with its sister 501(c)(4) American Action Network, spent $20 million in independent expenditures on U.S. House races in October 2014.
