CLF Responds With Ad in NY-19 Exposing Zephyr Teachout’s Lies
WASHINGTON – The Congressional Leadership Fund (@CLFSuperPAC), the super PAC endorsed by House Republican leadership, today released their second ad in NY-19, “Crazy”. Earlier this week, Zephyr Teachout launched an ad lying about her record of supporting higher property taxes, claiming: “That’s crazy, no one wants that.”
No one, except Zephyr Teachout. CLF’s new ad “Crazy” shows video of Teachout saying “I’m against the tax cap.”
“Zephyr Teachout is proving to be just another lying, tax-hiking politician from New York City,” said Ruth Guerra, spokeswoman for CLF. “She pushed to raise property taxes and then lied about it to voters. Hudson Valley families can’t trust politician Zephyr Teachout with our tax dollars or to tell the truth.”
The ad will begin airing Saturday, October 8th on Albany broadcast as part of CLF’s $2 million-plus independent expenditure campaign in NY-19. Earlier, CLF announced initial spending of $1.6 million in NY-19 for Albany broadcast and NYC cable TV advertising, digital advertising, mail, and door-to-door grassroots efforts.
