CLF Releases New Ad Following Danny O’Connor’s (OH-12) Support For Pelosi

Ad highlights O’Connor’s interview with Chris Matthews when he admits to supporting Nancy Pelosi for Speaker

WASHINGTON – On the heels of Danny O’Connor’s widely criticized interview on national television, Congressional Leadership Fund (@CLFSuperPAC), the super PAC endorsed by House Republican leadership, today released a new ad, “Pelosi,” airing in the special election in Ohio’s 12^th Congressional District. The ad highlights Danny O’Connor’s interview on MSNBC’s Hardball with Chris Matthews when he finally admits he would support Nancy Pelosi for Speaker of the House. The new ad is part of CLF’s $2 million buy, and will run simultaneously on broadcast and cable.

“Dishonest Danny O’Connor finally showed Ohio families who he truly is: a Pelosi liberal who would support raising Ohio’s middle-class taxes and oppose the border wall in Congress,” said Courtney Alexander, CLF Communications Director. “On national television, Danny O’Connor admitted he would support Nancy Pelosi for Speaker of the House, after telling Ohio families the opposite on the campaign trail. Ohioans deserve better than Dishonest Danny.”

In addition to the ad campaign, CLF launched a field program to support Troy Balderson made up of a district-wide phone and door-to-door GOTV effort which will result in over 500,000 doors knocked by Election Day in August.
