CLF Congratulates Liz Cheney on WY Primary Victory

WASHINGTON – Congressional Leadership Fund President Mike Shields released the following statement regarding Liz Cheney’s primary victory in Wyoming’s At-Large Congressional District. In July, CLF commissioned a survey by Harper Polling that showed Liz Cheney with a commanding lead in the primary.

“Congratulations to Liz Cheney on her decisive primary victory,” said Mike Shields, CLF President. “Wyoming voters are sending to Congress a conservative leader committed to working for solutions and results. The country needs more leaders like Liz Cheney willing to speak out against the reckless deal the Obama administration struck with Iran and to defend our country’s intelligence community. Liz will be an especially powerful voice in Congress for a robust national security and foreign policy that takes on security threats at home and abroad.”
