CLF Congratulates Bruce Poliquin in Maine’s 2nd District Election
WASHINGTON – Congressional Leadership Fund (@CLFSuperPAC) President Mike Shields issued the following statement in response to tonight’s election results in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District. CLF spent $1.1 million in independent expenditures in the ME-02 race on TV advertising, online advertising and GOTV efforts.
“Congratulations to Bruce Poliquin on his well-earned election victory. Bruce Poliquin is a strong and independent leader in Congress who is willing to work across party lines to get things done. Bruce has fought tirelessly to protect Maine jobs as well as combat the state’s heroin epidemic. Bruce understands the importance of fighting for center-right solutions to the economic and national security challenges facing our country. Whether it’s Obamacare’s skyrocketing premiums, Washington’s out-of-control spending or lackluster economy, Bruce will continue to work hard to get our country back on track. We look forward to his continued leadership and work in Congress.”
In 2016, Congressional Leadership Fund and its sister-organization American Action Network spent a combined $48 Million on independent expenditures in 32 U.S. House races.
Founded in 2011, Congressional Leadership Fund is the super PAC endorsed by House Republican Leadership and dedicated exclusively to preserving and expanding the Republican Majority in the U.S. House of Representatives. CLF is an independent-expenditure super PAC that operates independently of any federal candidate or officeholder.
