Wages Can’t Keep Up

Axios reports that inflation is wiping out wage gains, and “low-income households — disproportionately people of color — are likely to feel the squeeze the most.”

As higher prices shrink families’ budgets, 83% of voters say they are experiencing some hardship due to increased prices on everyday items and 40% report significant hardship. 

“Americans are struggling to make ends meet as they face record high prices and deflated paychecks,” said CLF Press Secretary Cally Perkins. “It’s more expensive than ever to get by with Democrats in Washington and Americans know exactly who to blame for it.”
