Underwood rolls out AOC to defend her crazy remarks
If you’re a Democrat running in a district Trump won by 4 points, maybe relying on the House’s most absurd socialist – Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez – to defend your outrageous remarks isn’t the best play for you.
In case you missed it, after Congresswoman Underwood received bipartisan condemnation for accusing border patrol of “intentionally” murdering children, Lauren Underwood’s socialist BFF came rushing to her defense on Twitter.
Yesterday, GOP moved to silence Lauren Underwood’s words bc she had the audacity to say the obvious: that stealing children away from their parents, trafficking, & caging them w/o end is intended to do harm.
They tried to silence her; make her back down.
She didn’t.

Given Underwood consistently votes to the left of AOC and has been touting AOC’s endorsement of her campaign, maybe it’s not all that much of a surprise. But it is another reminder of just how wildly out of step Underwood is from a district that elected Trump by 4 points just a few years ago.
