Taxing Tony Vargas Can’t Hide His Tax-Hiking Record

Tony Vargas recently posted on X that his “first priority” in Congress would be cutting taxes for the middle class. But here are the facts:

Taxing Tony fought to raise income taxes on anyone making over $100,000 and make Nebraska’s state income tax rate the fifth highest in the nation.

“If Tony Vargas had it his way, Nebraskans would already be handing over more of their hard-earned cash,” said CLF Regional Press Secretary Maureen O’Toole. “Taxing Tony is no friend to Nebraska taxpayers.”
