Spanberger: failing to pass a budget is a good thing!
Rep. Abigail Spanberger finally gave up her fiscal responsibility charade this morning, telling Virginia Public Radio in an interview that the Democrats’ failure to pass a budget is actually … wait for it … a good thing!
Spanberger defended her party’s repeated failure to pass a budget by saying, “The fact that we’re reaching a point where we’re not bringing forth a budget, it means that there’s a healthy debate within our caucus.”
That’s quite the about-face for a Democrat who spent months on the campaign trail soapboxing about ending Washington dysfunction.
Spanberger can join Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as they spin their wheels over whether the $93 trillion Green New Deal or a $30 trillion government takeover of the health care system should be passed first. We’re excited to see just how far left this “healthy debate” drags her.
