Saginaw Co. Voters “Fed Up” With High Costs – McDonald Rivet Has Made It Worse
The Wall Street Journal writes that many voters in Saginaw County are “fed up” with rising costs, which have left them struggling to make ends meet.
One woman, who now shops at Family Dollar to save money, said, “I don’t eat as much.” One man noted he’s struggling to get by on $70,000 a year, while another woman said, “anything that was big and made money when I moved here is all gone. People are moving.”
We must not forget that Democrat Kristen McDonald Rivet is responsible for making this crisis worse… Remember, as a City Commissioner, McDonald Rivet voted to increase electric rates, costing residents hundreds of thousands of dollars more every year. And in the State Senate, she tried to PREVENT a tax cut that would have saved Michiganders $721.6 million a year.
“Kristen McDonald Rivet has a long history of hiking taxes and increasing costs on Michigan families,” said CLF Regional Press Secretary Maureen O’Toole. “Michigan families cannot afford McDonald Rivet in Congress.”
