REPORT: Self-Proclaimed “Centrist” John Avlon Made a Career Out of Bashing Republicans

Fox News reports today that despite John Avlon trying to present as a “centrist,” his record proves he’s nothing more than a liberal partisan hack.

As Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Beast, Avlon announced the outlet would serve as “loyal opposition” to Trump, would refrain from covering him on Sunday’s calling it “Sabbath for sanity,” and defended one of his writers who accused anyone of renting in a Trump property or playing golf at a Trump resort of “supporting racism and neo-fascism.”

And the perennial talking-head continued his Republican-bashing ways during his time on CNN, saying things like Trump supporters have “derangement syndrome” and called them “delusional.”

Newsbusters executive editor told Fox News: “It’s common for politicians to talk about appealing to swing voters, but that’s not what Avlon did at CNN. He’ll be more like Adam Schiff than like Jared Golden.”

“John Avlon can try all he wants to convince New Yorkers he’s a ‘common-sense Democrat,’ but his record shows he’s anything but,” said CLF Regional Press Secretary Maureen O’Toole. “Fame-seeker John Avlon has dedicated his career to bashing Republican voters, and he won’t be able to hide it.”
