NEW: CLF Digital Ad & Website Expose Kaptur Lying to Ohioans

Today, CLF launched a new digital ad to run this week during the DNC, calling out Marcy Kaptur for lying in her latest ad.

Kaptur’s ad claims: “I don’t work for Donald Trump or Joe Biden; I work for you.”  But back when she was campaigning for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and before their four years in office crushed American families, Kaptur said: “It will be my honor to not just vote for Joe Biden, but to work for him and Senator Kamala Harris.”

“Marcy Kaptur knows the Biden-Harris administration has hurt Ohioans, which is why she’s is trying to have them forget. But voters know through Kaptur’s own words, she works for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, not Ohioans – period,” said CLF Spokeswoman Courtney Parella.

A new digital ad from the Congressional Leadership Fund, House GOP’s top super PAC, attempts to tie Democratic Rep. Marcy Kaptur to President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

The spot, which is backed by a five-figure buy, is notable because it specifically targets Ohio voters tuning into DNC programming this week. It will begin running Wednesday for viewers logging on to watch the DNC in Kaptur’s northwest Ohio seat.

Kaptur is one of five Democrats who holds a district that former President Donald Trump carried in 2020 and thus one of the members who may need to keep appropriate distance from the top of the ticket — even if that’s now Harris and not Biden.

A recent TV ad features her saying: “I don’t work for Donald Trump or Joe Biden — I work for you.”

CLF’s spot accuses Kaptur of lying and uses 2020 footage of her calling it an honor to vote and “work” for Biden and Harris.
