middle road is no more

Standing on the stage of their rally last night as they launched their campaign “to make the 2020 elections a referendum on the Green New Deal,” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders couldn’t have been any clearer: their party has no more room for the middle road.

“I’ll be damned if the same politicians who refused to act are going to try to come back today and say we need a middle of the road approach,” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez exclaimed.

The new strategy was sure to draw applause from the wild-eyed socialists who’ve taken over the Democratic party, but centrist voters in competitive House Districts across the nation aren’t likely to look too kindly on this kind of overt extremism.

But as the Democrats go all-in for their furthest and most radical fringes, we’re certainty not going to stand in their way. In fact, why don’t they put their money where their mouth is and put AOC’s absurd environmental plan up for a House vote already?

CLF Comment: “Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders are quickly showing centrist voters across the country that they aren’t welcome in the new socialist Democratic party,” said CLF Spokesman Calvin Moore. “A 2020 referendum on this wholly unrealistic $93 trillion plan to ban cows and airplanes is a great way to elect Republicans to the House. We hope they can make good on their promise.”
