McDonald Rivet Is Too Extreme for MI-08 - Congressional Leadership Fund

The race is set in MI-08, and Kristen McDonald Rivet is Democrats’ nominee. If voters haven’t learned it yet, they’re about to find out just how extreme McDonald Rivet really is:

As a Bay City Commissioner, McDonald Rivet called for an “overhaul” of policing, and accused the current system of being a “structure put in place to oppress.”
And still during her time as a City Commissioner, she voted to increase electric rates, costing residents hundreds of thousands of dollars more every year.
In the State Senate, she tried to PREVENT a tax cut that would have saved Michiganders $721.6 million a year.

And let’s not forget that while in the State Senate, Kristen McDonald Rivet voted to give a CCP-backed company a $175 million taxpayer incentive to set up shop in Michigan, a deal Michiganders have been desperately trying to kill as top U.S. officials warned that bringing the company to Michigan is “deeply dangerous.”

“Career politician Kristen McDonald Rivet has done nothing but make life more expensive and more dangerous for Michiganders, and voters will know it and reject her extremism come November,” said CLF Regional Press Secretary Maureen O’Toole.
