McDonald Rivet: “Ferocious Supporter of the ‘Defund the Police’ Movement”

A scathing new report uncovered that Kristen McDonald Rivet was a “ferocious supporter of the ‘Defund the Police’ movement,” during the anti-police riots in the summer of 2020, according to the New York Post.

That year, McDonald Rivet joined an anti-police protest and demanded an “overhaul” of policing, blasting cops for being part of a “structure put in place to oppress.” 

“Kristen McDonald Rivet’s support of the ‘defund the police’ movement is troubling to anyone in Michigan who wants safe cities and streets,” said CLF Regional Press Secretary Maureen O’Toole. “It’s clear that McDonald Rivet cannot be trusted to support the men and women that keep us safe.”
