Luria: “it’s bullshit” they want to stop me from trading stocks

Elaine Luria was named one of the “biggest stock traders in Congress,” according to Market Watch, and routinely invests in stocks of companies she regulates. 

No wonder she called a stock trade ban for Members of Congress “bullshit.”

Luria does, however, want to ban insider trading for everyone else, saying it’s “critical to ensuring a fair economy” —  just so long as it doesn’t apply to her.

How’s that for some “bullshit”?

“Like so many on the left, Elaine Luria has one set of rules for politicians like herself and another for everyone else,” said CLF Press Secretary Cally Perkins. “Luria refuses to ban insider trading for Members of Congress, so that she can continue lining her pockets.”
