Luria breaks major campaign promise
Congresswoman Elaine Luria was exposed for taking nearly $200,000 from corporate PACs after “abandoning a pledge not to accept money from corporations at the end of 2020.”
According to the Washington Post report, Luria had sworn off corporate PAC donations to show she “would not be influenced by corporate money.”
What changed?
“Elaine Luria’s actions continue to prove to Virginians that she just can’t keep her word,” said CLF Press Secretary Cally Perkins. “If she can’t follow through on even the most central promise of her campaign, how can voters trust anything else she says?”
