ICYMI: Gluesenkamp Perez Says Dems’ Border Crisis Isn’t “What Matters to People”

Marie Gluesenkamp Perez made the ridiculous claim that “no one stays awake at night worrying about the southern border… that’s not what matters to people.”

Huh?

There’s no question why only 7% of Americans say they don’t see the border crisis as a “serious” issue:

• A record 302,000 illegal migrants crossed our southern border last month, and even Democrat mayors are calling it an emergency in overrun cities.
• Due to unprecedented border crossings, a record 3 million cases are currently clogging U.S. immigration courts.
• In Gluesenkamp Perez’s district alone, fentanyl overdoses have surged 500%, as illicit fentanyl primarily flows into the country through the southern border. 

And not only did Gluesenkamp Perez outrageously downplay this crisis, she voted against securing the border.

“Marie Gluesenkamp Perez is showing Washington State families just how out of touch she really is,” said CLF Regional Press Secretary Maureen O’Toole. “Clearly, Gluesenkamp Perez would rather downplay and ignore her party’s out-of-control border crisis instead of fix it – voters deserve better.”
