ICYMI: Bynum Voted to Give Taxpayer Money to Illegal Immigrants

A bombshell report reveals Janelle Bynum co-sponsored and voted for legislation that sent over half a million in taxpayer dollars to illegal immigrants to help cover housing down payments.

Meanwhile, Oregon citizens – who were excluded from receiving Bynum’s down payment assistance – are desperately struggling to afford housing for themselves, as Oregon currently has the second highest unsheltered homeless rate in the nation.

But Bynum would rather dole out cash to noncitizens than to take care of struggling Oregon citizens – disgraceful.

“Janelle Bynum chose to prioritize illegal immigrants over Oregonians in need. Bynum left Oregonians behind, and they deserve better,” said CLF Regional Press Secretary Maureen O’Toole.
