DCCC Chair: CLF is our biggest problem

DCCC Chairman Sean Patrick Maloney pinpointed House Democrats’ biggest risk in the midterms: Congressional Leadership Fund’s massive fundraising.

Per Punchbowl: “Maloney hit on a big problem for Democrats… Congressional Leadership Fund and the American Action Network – are far outraising House Majority PAC, the Democratic-leadership aligned super PAC.”

Speaking to reporters at House Democrats’ retreat Maloney said, “Their outside groups are raising a lot of money and we take that very seriously. The Republicans will have significant resources because of the outside affiliated groups where they are really performing very well.”

For the first time this cycle, Sean Patrick Maloney is correct. But hey, even a broken clock is right twice a day.
