DC Dem Establishment Puts Thumb on Scale in Local Primaries

The DC Democrat establishment is putting their thumb on the scale in local Democrat primaries.

This is irking local progressives and the Working Families Party.

Which begs the question:

Are the newly-dubbed establishment darlings happy for the support? (It appears some, such as Bob Brooks in PA-07 and Jasmeet Bains in CA-22 are thrilled.)

OR…

Will this light a fire under their progressive base and create even more problems in the already messy Dem primaries?

Bains’ primary opponent, Randy Villegas, blasted the DCCC saying it’s “undemocratic to see DC elites putting their thumb on the scale.”

But what about the rest of the candidates in the field? How do they feel about big DC Dems getting involved?

Time will tell…

P.S. Speaking of Bob Brooks… Does he still have Josh Shapiro’s support following Brooks’ comments over the weekend re: Shapiro asking Brooks to endorse a Republican? Drama, drama, drama!
