Cartwright’s Election Year Politics Aren’t Fooling Anyone

In response to President Biden’s half-measure executive order yesterday, Matt Cartwright commended Biden and insisted “Congress has failed to act.”

But the truth is, House Republicans passed border security legislation over a year ago, which included the effective Remain in Mexico policy that Biden’s half-measure executive action failed to do.

Still, Matt Cartwright voted against that AND against subsequent bipartisan attempts to crack down on the illegal immigration crisis.

Yet – with less than five months from Election Day – Matt Cartwright is desperately trying to rewrite history.

“Matt Cartwright has had opportunity after opportunity to fix the growing illegal immigration crisis with commonsense policies like ‘Remain in Mexico,’ but Cartwright has failed Pennsylvanians every single time,” said CLF Regional Press Secretary Maureen O’Toole.
