Caraveo’s Migrant Crisis Cripples Colorado
Denver’s migrant crisis is out of control, costing Colorado more every day. Don’t take our word for it, look at the reports piling up just this week:
- $24 million in state funds was sent to CO schools struggling to accommodate the influx of migrant students.
- CO State House is debating sending another $2.5 million of taxpayer cash to illegal immigrants.
- Denver City Council is arguing their $8.4 million cut to Denver PD isn’t defunding police to pay for migrants.
- Migrant advocates are pushing for undocumented migrants to receive more than six months of free rent.
- Not to mention, fentanyl seizures in CO are at record highs with no signs of letting up.
This illegal immigration crisis is a direct result of Yadira Caraveo’s anti-border security agenda: from calling on Biden to defund ICE and CBP, refusing to hold this administration’s failures accountable, and rejecting tougher border security measures in Congress.
“Yadira Caraveo’s anti-border security policies brought this migrant crisis straight to Denver, and now Coloradans are being forced to pay for it – literally,” said CLF Regional Press Secretary Maureen O’Toole.
