California Joins Fellow Blue States Fed Up with Biden’s Border Crisis
A new poll from the Los Angeles Times and Berkeley found that an overwhelming majority of Californians say the U.S.-Mexico border is “not secure.”
And that’s not all…
- Over 70% of registered voters agree that illegal immigrants are a “burden” on the U.S., with 42% saying they are a “major burden” and 30% saying they are a “minor burden.”
- The survey of registered voters found that 62% of respondents believed that the border was not secure, while just 30% said it is.
- The issue deeply divides California Democrats, with 54% of people who identify as “strongly liberal” saying the border is secure and 30% saying it is not.
California joins the many other blue cities and states feeling the weight of the Biden administration and Democrats’ border crisis:
- New Yorkers are growing concerned about the migrant crisis, with 82% saying it’s a “serious” problem.
- Denver is slashing the city’s budgets by 15% to accommodate for the overwhelming number of illegal migrants.
- Massachusetts leaders have asked for federal support and funding to help deal with a “significant influx of migrants.”
- And Chicago’s Mayor refuses to answer whether he’ll raise city taxes to help pay for the city’s ongoing migrant crisis.
Only 7% of Americans think the situation at the border is not a “serious” problem, but House Democrats disagree – all voting against securing the border.
“Democrats’ out-of-control migrant crisis is only getting worse, and House Democrats’ refusal to secure the border will have real repercussions at the ballot box come November,” said CLF Communications Director Courtney Parella.
