1/3 (!) of her family budget on gasoline

Families are paying nearly 50% more at the gas pump this year — the largest percentage increase in a decade— according to a new report from the Wall Street Journal. 

One stay-at-home mom of two told the WSJ she is “spending one-third of her family budget on gas.” And other families are “cutting back on driving.”

“House Democrats rubber stamped trillions in spending and waged war on American energy, now working Americans are paying the price,” said CLF Press Secretary Cally Perkins. “Families are watching as their budgets are stretched thinner than ever and have only Washington Democrats to blame for it.”
