Whitmer says defund the police. Slotkin and Stevens say nothing.

Last night, Governor Gretchen Whitmer issued an executive order slashing millions of dollars from the State Police and Department of Corrections budget in an effort to “defund the police.”

More than 2/3 of Americans oppose cutting funding for police forces, knowing that it will put our communities at risk. Nevertheless, Congresswomen Haley Stevens and Elissa Slotkin have found nary the courage to speak out against the dangerous plan.

Then again, considering both Congresswomen Stevens and Slotkin stayed silent when Joe Biden announced he wanted to cut police funding, and said police officers have “become the enemy” we aren’t going to hold our breath that they will stand up and fight for the safety of Michiganders.

“Haley Stevens and Elissa Slotkin’s deafening silence on defunding the police in Michigan goes to show just how far they will go to protect the radical left,” said CLF Communications Director Calvin Moore. “Congresswomen Stevens and Slotkin refused to denounce Joe Biden when he called the police ‘the enemy,’ and if Stevens and Slotkin won’t immediately stand up to Governor Whitmer’s dangerous agenda threatening the safety of their constituents then voters should vote them both out of office come November.”
